    Description

Up for sale is my 1968 BSA Lightning Chopper. This bike is for the very experienced, not for the faint of heart rider. If you have ever ridden a bike with no trail in the front end geometry, you know what I mean. I took this for some money owed to me. The guy said it's an unfinished project. Has lots of new parts, I can see. Top end has been rebuilt, inside the cylinders are clean with new pistons and a fresh bore, so I'm sure he was correct
I got it running and riding. It has a clear Virginia title in my name. I will detail what I know about it. Please know what you're buying. This is the hardest of hardcore bikes. Don't cry to me with buyers remorse,  because it scares you. Ask questions and I'll be happy to send pix and I have a video of it running I can email.  It's a 1968 Bsa Lightning A65 650cc. It has a stock front frame that has been cut and raked but not stretched up. The rake is about 55 degrees, it has a 16+ over 1964 Durfee girder that could use replating. It has a nice spool front wheel (no front brakes)it has a welded on hardtail . No horn, turnsignals or mirrors. It has a beautiful custom handshifter and stainless knob. The engine sounds strong and it runs pretty good. It has a boyer ignition with a chrome dual coil.  The paint and bodywork is like a 6 or 7, amateur paint.  Looks great from 10 feet away. Any bidder with less than 10 feedback will be deleted if you don't contact me first. Please ask questions. No returns, no buyers remorse, no refunds.  It's a killer looking bike and does pretty well straight down the road but wrestling a bull by the horns at slow speed. No steering stops and it does have tire flop. I just want back what I was owed and maybe a little more. I will help your shipper any way I can. But YOU are responsible for shipping.
