For Sale is a pair of 428 Cobra Jet Cylinder Heads C8OE-6090-N, C8OE-N
Built for Racing - Good For Street
These heads are rebuilt, ready to install and run.
These heads are built for performance - drag racing.  They were removed from an engine that was built with 13:1 compression pistons. The engine had hydraulic roller lifters, a roller camshaft and roller rocker system.  The engine had never been run.
Dates are not matched:  8J17 and 1H30
The heads are newly rebuilt.
- New Stainless Steel Valves (maybe oversized)
- Bronze Guides
- Viton (type) Positive Seal Valve Stem Seals
- New Double Springs with Dampener (sometimes misidentified as triple springs)
- New Retainers and Keepers bare logo "LTW" (Titanium?)
- Intake ports matched to gasket (ported), smoothed - (Gasket remains in tact - see pictures)
- Exhaust ports cleaned up (ported), smoothed
Check spring pressure.  I think the lifters were hydraulic roller.  I have been told you want no greater than 120-lbs of closed pressure on hydraulic lifters (for street use). Maybe occasional driven street use can handle more pressure - you be the judge.
There is one minor repair.  Looks like the machinist broke through on one of the intake ports.  There is a build-up weld repair in the spring trough for that intake port.  It will be covered when valve covers are installed.  It will not affect function or performance at all. See pictures.
All bolt holes and surfaces are good - ready for use.
Shipping
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  I package these in heavy cardboard, stacked on the intake port sides separated by a piece of heavy cardboard. The stacked heads are wrapped inside the box by a piece of nylon ratchet strap forming into 2 PVC pipe handles outside the heavy cardboard box.  The box measures (approximately) 24"x20"x10" and weighs 110-lbs.  It ships from zip code 36330. I plan to use FedEx or UPS.  These are the dimensions/weight I placed in eBay to compute the shipping.  I can box and drop off at my local Fastenal is you prefer to try that means of shipping too.
