Up for auction is an UNKNOWN year German wood veneered box that was sold by a pharmacist after you had an extraordinary meal. AECHTE MAGENMORSELLEN is translated as GENUINE MAGENMORSELLEN PHARMACY.  The pharmacy St. Jakobi Apotheke in Lubeck, Germany may not still be in business but according to an article on January 1, 1961 about an engagement of a Mr. Bernhard Stolle, it was because he was associated with his father in the family business at that time.  The name of the newspaper was TIMES RECORDER in Zanesville, OHIO.  Magenmorsellen are a confection for pleasurable rounding off of a good meal.  It was formerly made in the pharmacy like candy.  The candies would contain spices such as cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cardamon, galangal, cloves and mace.  In other words they were gastric morsels.
