Hello and thank you for expressing an interest in my auction. I am offering for your consideration the following.  Here is a "
Very Nice Rustic
" 1890's to early 1900's antique cast iron hand operated cork press. This one is marked {
Yankee
} on the side of the handle and on the top of the upper body section it reads - {
The Yankee Patent Pending USA
}. It is all original and complete as to the best of my knowledge when I discovered it. This one has a Very Distinctive Appearance. The entire press has an authentic naturally aged rustic appearance from being exposed to years of weathering elements through a rotted collapsed roof  in the attic of a dilapidated Detroit house I salvaged prior to demolition. There are many people who have a very fond appreciation for rustic artifacts in this condition. It has aged naturally and there is no craft store kit that will give you this type of aged surface appearance. This would make a great display piece for any primitive style kitchen.
ITEM CONDITION
:  The over all condition is "

" for being offered as a primitive piece and considering the age and where it was discovered.   Being sold - {

}. - This solid cast iron cork press is solid with no metal rot and "
Works Perfectly
" as seen in the pictures I posted of it opened and closed. There are no breaks, chips, cracks, repairs, the wood base has some slight wear to the front, which is to be expected since it was buried under tons of rotting soaked roof debris which gave it the great rustic appearance. I have thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned it with industrial soap and bleach to disinfect it. The entire piece has light pitted surface rust which gives it such great color, but the rust is not flaking off in your hands, as I stated it has been scrubbed and washed. This press measures as follows - - wood base is
