  • Condition: Good condition for age. C1840 Miniature wooden drawer has a sliver of wood loss (old) along front lower edge - see arrow on detail photo. Possible, old re-glue of drawer’s sides. India ink stains on wood, see photos. Cattle bone Knob is perfect, with normal old patina (brown tinge). A little dusty inside, but odor-free.

    Description
    - One (1), circa 1840s, miniature drawer ONLY, from a traveling medical apothecary case or cabinet.
    This miniature drawer is constructed of finely-grained mahogany, with glued joints, with one, very tiny, exquisite, lathe turned KNOB or pull, in cattle bone.
    From a local estate - I wish I had the whole apothecary case this originally came from. If you need a drawer for your case, maybe this will fit, or - use the drawer pieces & knob to recreate a drawer, or …be creative.
    Drawer is MINIATURE  -  approx. 5-1/2” wide x 1-7/8” x 1”, deep, exterior measurements, see ruler in pics
    Knob is quite tiny! Just 1/4” diameter - see detail pic
    Knob can be removed.
    Shown with a pear, a ruler, and a hand, for scale.
    Lightweight.
    Props not included.
    Drawer ONLY - there is no case or cabinet included.
    No makers mark or markings.
