Program, produced by the Messrs. Shubert, Tour, 1944
.  The musical revival opened NYC on 09/04/43 and ran for only 47 performances.  Inside are production photos from the original production, synopsis, background of Franz Schubert, scene synopsis and musical numbers list.  Also included is a one fold program from April 1944 from the tour at the Metropolitan Theatre in Seattle, WA that features a photo of cast members and full cast list.  The cast includes Barbara Scully, Doug Leavitt, Helene Arthur, Roy Barnes, Victor Morley, Roy Cropper and Grace Worth.  Music by Sigmund Romberg adapted from the melodies of Franz Schubert and H. Berte, lyrics and book by Dorothy Donnelly (adapted from the original of A.M. Willner and H. Reichert).  Directed by J.J. Shubert.

Souvenir programs are 9 x 12 inches but may vary somewhat in size.
Condition is very good with minor wear including partial spine separation of the cover at the bottom and a date written in pencil at the bottom right.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
