    Description

If you have always been disgusted with the edis coil situation like I have then you will really appreciate what we have to offer for going distributer-less. I have many edis powered megasquirt z cars, and wanted to come up with something different and a lot cleaner. One problem is that you cannot get a decent plug and play set of wires, then you have to find somewhere to mount the coil, and to do it super clean is difficult. So I found out that you can use the later ford coil on plug coils, as it works well with the edis module, or if you run 6 individual coil drivers inside the ecu, it works well as well.  Obviously, you would have to source your own coils. They are used on late 90's and early 2000's fords. Pretty cheap on eBay actually.
I like to use Ford Coils DG508.  If you use these from a 2000 F150 4.6 Liter motor, they come in a 8 set and you end up with 2 extra coils!  Search DG508 on eBay for the coils.
For the Pig Tail use PICO Brand
5713PT. Which can be found here on EBAY.
You CAN run the factory COPs with an EDIS module, although this will draw roughly double the average power from your COP power supply. There are many successful reports of this being "no problem" on COP installs, some 03 Cobra's have made upwards of 775whp using this scheme. Here's how to wire an EDIS module to COPs:
It is wired the same way as the edis coil, except you tie 1,4 AND 2 AND 3 together to run a wasted
    spark
system. If you are more advanced and run 4 BIP modules inside of megasquirt, you can run them individual also, and change dwell. This is just a lot cleaner way to mount the coils, and you don’t have to hassle with finding those hard to find edis wire ends, for a custom set of wires. A lot hotter spark as well, because you don't have to run through the resistance of a wire.
Either way you go, coil packs or COPs, once you've got this wired up and even without the MegaSquirt hooked up to the ignition system the car should fire right up (of course something has to be firing the injectors, either a ECU or the MegaSquirt standalone). This is because the EDIS-4 Module will run the car at 10 degrees BTDC when there is no computer control. This is it's limp home mode base timing
So what you are getting is the Bracket and all of the needed hardware in STAINLESS except for the 2 6x1.0 bolts that hold the bracket through the valve cover to the head, those are zinc plated.  You have to source your OWN coils, you are only getting the billet aluminum bracket and hardware.
Here is a video of these coils installed on a turbo car
