Mounted Vintage Brass Lionhead Door Knocker • Brass

Description

You are bidding on a mounted vintage brass lionhead door knocker on a mahogany-stained wood backing with a sawtooth picture hanger on back.
Size: 5" wide x 6-7/8" high x 2-3/8" deep (including mahogany backing). The lionhead itself is approx 3" wide.
These doorknobs, escutcheons and door knockers were collected by my father from salvage stores and flea markets between 1980 and 2010. He created and mahogany stained the backings and had them displayed on his walls. None of the hardware being offered are reproductions or professionally cleaned but in most cases I cannot give you specific dates of manufacture in this case.
Makes a great wall decoration!
