Rare Axel Hasselstrøm of Denmark cast brass door knocker in great vintage condition! No known flaws. May need cleaning and polishing as it has its original finish and some antiquing.     RARE Vintage Axel Hasselstrøm
    Solid Cast Brass Door Knocker
    MADE IN DENMARK
    New Old Stock with original Danish tags.
    This quality door knocker was manufactured in the 1970s by
    the vintage Danish brass Maker Axel Hasselstrøm A/S.
    It is made out of solid, high quality heavy Danish-made brass.
    This is not the lightweight, thin, low-quality brass that comes
    from places like India, China, Mexico and Pakistan.
    See the Danish flag tag that says "Messing"
    Messing is Danish for brass.
    Door knocker has an aged brass finish with
    some antiquing to it.
    Features an ornate and elegant scroll pattern.
    The curved handle strikes on a heavy shield to make a
    deep resounding knocking sound.
    Approximate Measurements:
    4 Inches Tall
    2-5/8 Inches Wide, at widest points
    and
    Handle Protrudes About 1.5 Inches (Deep)
    HEAVY FOR ITS SIZE, it weighs 8.9 Ounces, UNPACKED
    Has two SMALL holes on mounting bracket.
    MOUNTING SCREWS NOT INCLUDED.
    I would recommend using appropriately long brass screws
    to support the weight of the door knocker.

    What a find!
    Imported from Denmark directly by my parents, who were importers.
    I will be listing multiple door knockers that were found inside a
    wooden crate with their original Danish plastic bags and tags on them.
    I removed the plastic bags to take detailed pictures.
    Own a piece of Danish history!
