The musical revival opened in NYC on
02/07/44 and ran for only 64 performances.   The cover artwork is by Al Hirschfeld.  Inside are production photos, headshot photos, bios, synopsis, background on the production, full cast list, scene synopsis, musical numbers list and critics' quotes.  The cast includes Etta Moten, William Franklin, Avon Long, Edward Matthews, Georgette Harvey, Warren Coleman, Harriet Jackson, Alma Lillie Hubbard, Musa Williams, Warren Coleman, Catherine Ayers, Jerry Laws, Henry Davis, William C. Smith, Russell Cooper, Roger Gerry, Richard Bowler, Coyal MacMahan, Charles Colman, Catherine Ayers, Leslie Gray, Clinton King and The Eva Jessye Choir.
Music by George Gershwin, lyrics by DuBose Heyward and Ira Gershwin and book by DuBose Heyward (based on the play Porgy by Dorothy and DuBose Heyward).  Directed by Robert Ross

Note:
Souvenir programs are 9 x 12 inches but may vary somewhat in size.
Condition is near excellent with minor wear including light staining.

CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
