    Description

    Ann Arbor Sportscar is pleased to offer
    a rare reconditioned used OEM bare-builder "big valve" engine cylinder head for MGB and MGB-GT.  This rare MGB cylinder head is BMC casting number 12H2923 and was originally fitted to 1972 – 1974 MGB 18V series engines. This was the only production big-valve cylinder head ever installed on MGB engines.  This OEM cylinder head was recently serviced
    by our local reputable auto parts machine shop. This head was thoroughly degreased, shot-peened clean of all rust and grease and crack-tested (magnafuxed) for integrity.
    No cracks were found or any other integrity issues indicated by the machine shop. This head was finished in a cast iron grey
    primer coat to protect it from flash-rusting.  We measured a head thickness of 3.13” with our shop caliper.  Please look carefully at all 12 attached photos for details.
