This scarce item is a souvenir lapel pin badge from the 35th annual meeting of the American Pharmaceutical Association (now the American Pharmacists Association), with the event held September 5-9, 1887, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Composed of either brass or bronze, this item has an attractive design that includes images of a balance, retort, and beaker, and mortar and pestle, and it has the words
CINCINNATI GREETING TO AM. PHARM. ASS'N.  35 AN. MEETING  1887
.  There is an attachment pin with hook-type catch on the reverse.

s approximately 30.5 mm (1-3/16").
This item is in very fine condition, with very light actual wear, signs of handling, toning, and soiling.  The attachment pin remains strong.
