    Description

THIS IS AN OFFER TO FIX YOUR BOARD.  THIS IS NOT THE SALE OF A NEW OR REMANUFACTURED BOARD.
I may be able to FIX your Sears Kenmore water softener timer (PWA) part number 7288560 (aka part number 88560).  Sears charges OVER 0 for a replacement board.  I can fix them for .  This unit is found in the IntelliSoft 370 Series (model number 625.383760) made for Sears (Kenmore) by a company called Ecodyne.  It may be in other units as well.  The part number on the back of my board at the bottom left (black ink on a silkscreened white background) next to the power terminals is 7275559C while a new one I purchased in 2016 says 7275559F; yours may be similar.
My unit went bad after a power outage.  After the power outage there were dashes on the screen.  Page 17 of the Owner's Manual says that when this happens, you are to press either of the arrow keys until H32 shows then to press the SELECT button to change to the flashing PRESENT TIME display.  When I tried to do this on my unit it would just show J1.1 for a couple of seconds and then go back to flashing dashes.  It would never go to the PRESENT TIME display.  Sears told me that this means the board is bad and I had to buy a new one.
I didn't want to spend 0 so I, instead, spent hours trying to solve the problem.  It turns out that there is a special programmed integrated circuit that goes bad on these boards.  I figure out how to fix it.  If you have this same problem, you can ship your board to me and I will fix it and ship it back.  I will pay the return shipping in the U.S., unless you want it expedited (if outside of the U.S. please contact me first).  I entered an extended shipping time on the auction because I won't be shipping anything to you until you first ship your board to me and then I fix it.  I am doing this so I don't get stuck with eBay hounding me to ship you something before I've received and fixed your unit.  Typically I fix these over the weekend after I get your unit, if I'm in town that weekend (if you are in a rush, feel free to ask about my schedule first).
The picture I have included shows the front of a brand new PWA board.  This is the type I can fix.  Please be sure that the one you are sending to me looks exactly like this.  If it does not, please contact me.
If you have some different problem with the board, or a different board entirely, feel free to contact me and maybe I can try to solve the problem for you.
